What the Omne browser extension does
The Chrome extension saves posts to Omne from many platforms, reads a creator's profile in a side panel, and powers browser-based sync sources and Skool.
The Omne extension for Chrome is how Omne reaches into the websites that have no way in for apps. It saves posts while you browse, shows a creator's numbers in a side panel, and does the reading for sync sources and for connecting Skool.
What it does
| Job | How |
|---|---|
| Save a post | A Save button on posts, a right-click menu and a keyboard shortcut open a Save window where you choose where the post goes |
| Study a creator | The side panel reads a profile and ranks their posts against their own normal |
| Fill the Library | Reads your Instagram saves, Pinterest boards, bookmarks and Kindle highlights in your own browser |
| Connect sites | Lets Omne connect Skool, Substack and Medium with your own signed-in session |
Platforms
It works on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Substack, Reddit and Mastodon. Medium and Quora pages are covered too. Some platforms have been tested more than others, so if a Save button doesn't show on one of them, see extension troubleshooting.
Where it stands
The extension is for Chrome and isn't listed on the Chrome Web Store yet. Automatic Instagram and Kindle sync stay off until you turn them on. It uses your Omne sign-in, so you must be signed in to Omne in the same browser.
