Apps and extension

Install and set up the extension

Add the Omne extension to Chrome, allow it on your sites, pin it, and sign in to Omne in the same browser so saves reach your workspace.

The extension runs in Chrome. Set up takes three things: install it, let it work on the sites you use, and be signed in to Omne in that browser.

Get it

The extension isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet, so there is no store page to install from. During the private beta, contact support to ask how to get it. Once installed, Chrome opens a welcome page, Omne is ready.

Set it up

Set up the extension0/4

Chrome can switch an extension off its sites after an update that asks for more access. The same Allow on your sites button appears again, and one press restores it. The welcome page is also the extension's settings page: right-click the Omne icon and choose options to reach it.

Check it works

Open a post on any supported platform and look for the Save button in its row of buttons. Pressing it opens the Save window. If you aren't signed in to Omne, the window shows Sign in to Omne for your Library and boards.

Keyboard shortcut

Alt+Shift+S saves the page you are on. You can change it in Chrome's extension shortcuts page.

For sync sources

Sync sources such as Instagram saves, Pinterest and bookmarks need the extension, and the Omne page must be reloaded after you install it. See sync sources.
