How to make a short link expire

Stop a link on a date or after a number of clicks, and choose where visitors go instead. A domain can also set a default expiration page.

A link can stop working on a date, after a number of clicks, or both. You decide where people go once it has stopped.

Set it

  1. In Create link or when editing a link, click Expiration at the bottom.
  2. Under Stops on, choose a date and time.
  3. Under Stops after this many clicks, enter a whole number such as 500. Leave it empty for no limit. If the number isn't a whole number, Omne says so.
  4. Under Then it goes to, enter an address that starts with https://, for example a page that says the offer has ended.
  5. Click Save, then save the link.

A dot appears on the Expiration button when a limit is set.

Where visitors go

If you set Then it goes to, that page is used. If you leave it empty and the link is on your own domain, the domain's Default expiration page is used when you have set one. See link domain settings.

Notes

To bring an expired link back, edit it and clear the date or raise the limit.
