Troubleshooting

A connected account says it needs reconnecting

What 'Needs reconnecting' means for a connected account in Omne and how to reconnect, or remove it.

Needs reconnecting means the platform has refused Omne's access for good. The platform may have ended the permission, for example because you removed Omne from its list of authorised apps.

Where you see it

In Settings, Integrations. The integration's tile carries a Needs reconnecting tag with a small red dot, and a Needs you section lists such accounts. Open the integration and the account's line shows the same words in red instead of "Connected since" and a date.

What Omne already did

Omne keeps access tokens fresh in the background, refreshing them before they run out. When the platform refuses a refresh for good, Omne removes only the dead keys. The account stays in your list, and nothing is wiped. A short failure such as a timeout is retried automatically.

Reconnect

  1. Open Settings, Integrations, and open the integration.
  2. Click the three dots beside the account.
  3. Click Reconnect and sign in at the platform again.

If the menu only offers Disconnect, the integration connects another way, such as a pasted key. Open the integration and add it again.

While it is broken

Scheduled posts for that account do not go out. A post that tries gets the status Didn't post. See A post says Didn't post.

If it will not reconnect

You may see "That didn't connect. Try again in a moment." The platform may be down, or may be refusing the request. Try again a little later. If the platform asks you to approve Omne on its own site, do that first.

Remove it

Choose Disconnect, or Remove when the account is not connected. Omne revokes its access at the platform where possible and deletes the keys.
