Pinterest Ads
Connect Pinterest Ads to read every ad account you reach, see results by day and by audience, pause and resume, change budgets, make ads from your Pins and send conversions, from Omne AI, your agents and Omne's API.
Pinterest Ads connects as its own account in Omne, apart from any Pinterest account you post from. Connecting it never changes what your Pinterest connection for posting can do. Once it's connected, Omne AI and your agents work in every Pinterest ad account you reach.
Pinterest reviews every app before it opens to everyone. While it reviews Omne's Pinterest Ads app, Pinterest's own window may refuse to connect.
Connect Pinterest Ads
- Open Integrations and find Pinterest Ads.
- Press Connect. Pinterest opens in a small window.
- Sign in to the Pinterest business account that runs your ads, and approve Omne on Pinterest's screen.
The window closes and Pinterest Ads shows as connected, named by your Pinterest username. Omne reads every ad account you own and every one shared with you through Pinterest's Business Access, then reads their campaigns, ad groups and ads.
Permissions
Omne asks Pinterest for three permissions:
- user_accounts:read: who signed in, to name the connection.
- ads:read: your ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, audiences, Pinterest tags and their results.
- ads:write: pausing and resuming, budgets, new campaigns, ad groups and ads, and conversion events. Each happens only when you say yes.
Omne never asks for your boards, Pins, catalogs or billing.
What Omne can do with it
Ask Omne AI or your agents in plain words. Everything that reads runs at once:
- Ad accounts: each one with its currency, time zone and your role on it.
- Campaigns, ad groups and ads: status, objective, daily and lifetime spend caps, budgets, bids, what an ad group pays for and its targeting. An ad shows its Pin, where it sends people and Pinterest's review: approved, pending or rejected, with Pinterest's reasons.
- Results: spend, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, cost per click and per thousand, outbound clicks, engagements, conversions, checkout value, return on ad spend, leads, sign-ups and video views, for the ad account or for campaigns, ad groups or ads, in total or by day, week or month. Any of Pinterest's own columns can be asked for by name, and the conversion windows set.
- Breakdowns: results by age, gender, country, region, placement, device, creative type, keyword, interest or audience.
- Audiences: customer lists, site visitors, engagement and actalike audiences, with their size.
- The Pinterest tag: each tag with when it last sent an event, and Pinterest's Event Quality Score for your conversion events.
- Health: in one look, a permission the connection lacks, a role that can't change campaigns, a tag missing or with no events, and ads Pinterest rejected or whose Pin was deleted, each with Pinterest's reason.
Pinterest keeps results for the last 90 days.
Changes wait for your yes. The ones that can spend money wait even in Auto:
- Pause or resume a campaign, ad group or ad.
- Change a campaign's daily or lifetime spend cap, or an ad group's budget, in the ad account's own currency.
- Make a campaign, an ad group or an ad from one of your Pins. Each starts paused unless you say to start it, and Pinterest reviews every new ad before it runs.
- Send conversions to an ad account through Pinterest's Conversions API. Omne normalizes and hashes email, phone, names, birth date, city, state, zip, country and external ID with SHA-256 before they leave. Each event carries an event ID, the same one your Pinterest tag sent, so Pinterest counts a sale once. Test mode sends events Pinterest checks and answers but never records.
Webhooks
Pinterest sends no webhooks for ads, so Omne reads your ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups and ads when you connect and every hour after. Your own webhooks, set up in Settings → MCP & API → Webhooks, hear:
- account.connected and account.disconnected, and account.needs_reconnect when Pinterest stops accepting Omne's access.
- account.ads.initial_sync_completed once the first read after connecting is done, with the ad accounts read and how many ads.
- ad.status_changed when a campaign, ad group or ad changed status between two reads, with the status before and, for a rejected ad, Pinterest's reason.
Each is JSON, signed with your webhook's secret in the omne-signature header. A delivery that fails is tried again five times, with the same omne-event-id.
Omne's API and MCP
Omne's API is not open yet. Where it is switched on, each tool above has its own address, with a key from Settings → MCP & API:
| What | Address | |---|---| | Ad accounts | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/accounts | | Campaigns | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/campaigns | | Ad groups | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/ad-groups | | Ads | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/ads | | Results | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/results | | Breakdowns | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/breakdown | | Audiences | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/audiences | | The Pinterest tag | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/conversions-setup | | Health | GET /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/health | | Pause or resume | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/set-status | | Change a budget | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/set-budget | | Make a campaign | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/create-campaign | | Make an ad group | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/create-ad-group | | Make an ad | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/create-ad | | Send conversions | POST /v1/ads/pinterest-ads/send-conversions |
Reading works with any key. Changes need a key made to write, and are POST with their arguments as JSON. The same tools are in Omne's MCP server, named pinterest_ads_*.
Disconnect
Disconnect Pinterest Ads in Integrations. Pinterest doesn't let apps end their own access, so to take it away at Pinterest too, open pinterest.com/settings/security and remove Omne Ads.
