Remove someone from a workspace
How an owner removes a member from an Omne workspace, and what the person loses.
Only an owner can remove another person. Open Settings, Members, find the person and click Remove.
Steps
- Open the workspace and click Settings in the workspace menu.
- Select Members.
- In the Members list, click Remove on the person's row.
- Confirm the question "Remove" followed by their name and the workspace name.
If Omne cannot do it, you see "Couldn't remove them."
What the person loses
They lose access to everything in the workspace at once. The workspace disappears from their workspace list. Their account stays, and so do their other workspaces.
What stays
What they made in the workspace stays with the workspace. Sync sources they added, such as an RSS feed or a Readwise connection, belong to them personally. A sync that was added by someone who has left stops with the message "The person who added this has left the workspace. Add it again." Someone else in the workspace has to add it again.
