How Omne fits together
Omne is organised around workspaces. Each one holds a business's research, writing, plans, numbers and store, and the sidebar groups those into a few areas.
Omne is built around the workspace. A workspace is one business, and everything you research, save, write, plan and sell for that business lives inside it, so you move between the parts of your work without moving between apps.
The workspace is the unit
When you open Omne you are always inside one workspace. It holds that business's content, connected accounts, people and files, and its own plan. One account can belong to several workspaces, for example your own and a client's, and you switch between them from the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar.
Nothing is shared between workspaces unless you share it. What one workspace saves, lists and hides in Discover stays in that workspace. Only the public catalogue of posts, creators, brands and ads is common to everyone, and each post exists in it once.
The sidebar
Inside a workspace, the sidebar groups the pages by the job they do. These are the names you see and what each one is for.
| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Home | Where the workspace opens: what is next, what is waiting and how it is going. |
| Posts | The workspace's own posts, which you can search and filter by platform, account, format and status. |
| Planner | Every idea on its way to a post, as a board, table, calendar or list. |
| Library | Everything saved and made, in one searchable place. |
| Templates | Formats that work, ready to fill in. |
| Audio | Sounds and voice for posts and videos. |
| Discover | What is working for creators and brands, to learn from. |
| Strategy | A short set of questions that will turn into a content plan. It is marked Beta and is not open yet. |
| Digital Brain | Everything published, grouped by topic and idea. |
| Analytics | Every connected account's numbers in one place. |
The sidebar puts Home, Posts and Planner first, then three headings: Create (Library, Templates, Audio), Research (Discover, Strategy, Digital Brain) and Grow (Analytics).
Beside this sidebar there are two other areas. Ask AI is a chat that runs on an AI account you connect yourself, and it can use the services you have connected. Store holds products, prices, customers and email. You switch between the areas with the switch beside the logo. Settings opens from the account menu and holds the workspace's name, people, connected accounts and AI providers.
How the parts feed each other
The areas are meant to be used in a loop rather than one at a time.
- Research in Discover. You look at the posts that did far better than usual for their creator, and at the creators and brands behind them.
- Keep what is useful. Posts you add go to your workspace's Discover, creators go into lists, and your own notes, links and documents go in the Library.
- Make the next piece. Ask AI can use what you have connected, and Templates and the Planner give the idea a format and a place on the calendar.
- Measure in Analytics, which reads the numbers of the accounts you connect.
Each step works on its own. You can use Discover without ever opening the Planner, and you can write in the Library without connecting a single account. What is open today and what is still being built is listed in What is open today.
Who can change what
Every person in a workspace is an owner, an admin or a member. Everyone in the workspace can look at Discover and search it. Owners and admins can also add and remove things in it, and only they see the Analytics numbers. Settings are limited the same way: for example, only owners and admins can rename the workspace or invite people.
Where to go next
- Set up your workspace walks through signing in, naming a workspace and inviting people.
- Getting started gives a first session that uses each part once.
- What Discover is and how to read it is the best first area to explore.
