Your profile and user ID
How to change your display name in Omne, where your picture comes from and how to copy your user ID for support.
Open Settings, then Profile. The page has four rows: Profile picture, Email, User ID and Display name.
Display name
Type a new name in Display name, up to 80 characters. It saves by itself a moment after you stop typing, and again when you leave the field or press enter. "Saved" appears underneath. The name cannot be empty, and the message reads "Your name can't be empty." This is the name other people in your workspaces see.
Profile picture
Your picture comes from the account you signed in with, or from your Gravatar. If neither exists, Omne shows the first letter of your name on a coloured circle. Uploading your own picture shows Coming soon. To change what Omne shows today, change your Gravatar. Omne sends only a one-way fingerprint of your address to Gravatar to look it up.
Shown but read only: "The address you sign in with. It can't be changed here." See Change the email on your account.
User ID
Support may ask for this. Click the copy icon beside it. Include it, with the workspace ID, when you contact support. The workspace ID is in Settings, Workspace.
Other things in Settings
Preferences has the theme and the language. The language is the one the app's words are in and what you write stays in its own language. Notifications holds email choices. Security lists where you are signed in.
