Post statuses and when a scheduled post fails
What Draft, Approved, Scheduled, Posting, Posted and Didn't post mean, and what to do when a scheduled post didn't go out.
A post moves through a few statuses. A post that fails is marked, keeps the platform's own explanation, and is never retried automatically, so you decide what happens next.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Written, with no time to post |
| Approved | Signed off, ahead of being scheduled |
| Scheduled | Has a time. Posts automatically if its platform is supported |
| Posting | Being sent right now |
| Posted | Sent. Links to the live post where there is one |
| Didn't post | The platform refused it or couldn't be reached |
The Planner's status filter offers Draft, Approved, Scheduled and Posted. Posting and Didn't post show in the platform's own panel, such as the Skool card.
Why a post might not go out
First check the platform: only some platforms post automatically. A Scheduled post on any other platform will sit on the calendar when its time passes. That is how the Planner works today, not a failure. Publish it yourself.
For a platform that does post, a failed post shows the platform's words next to it. Common causes:
- The account was signed out. For Skool, Omne says the platform signed the account out. Connect it again from the extension, see connect a social account
- The platform didn't answer. Wait a few minutes and make the post again
- The platform refused the content. Its message says why. Fix the text and schedule again
After a failure
Omne never posts a failed item a second time by itself. Write the post again in the platform's panel with a new time, or press Post now once you have fixed the cause. Check the platform first if you aren't sure the failure was complete, so you don't double post.
If it keeps failing, contact support with the platform and the message shown.
