What Discover is and how to read it
Discover is a shared catalogue of public posts, ads, creators and brands, scored by how far each post went past its creator's usual, with lists and saves that stay yours.
Discover shows you what is working for other creators and brands so you can learn from it. It is a catalogue of public posts from many platforms, together with the creators, brands and ads behind them, and each post carries a score for how far it went past what its creator normally gets.
What is in Discover
Discover has four pages, shown as tabs at the top of the page: Discover, Creators, Brands and Lists. A separate switch beside the quick views flips between Posts and Ads.
| Page | What you find there |
|---|---|
| Discover | Public posts, newest first, as cards or as a list. This is the page that opens when you click Discover in the sidebar. |
| Ads | Facebook and Instagram ads that Discover holds. Reach it with the Ads switch. |
| Creators | The people Discover follows, each with a photo, follower count and how many of their posts beat their usual. |
| Brands | The companies, shows and pages Discover follows, set out the same way as Creators. |
| Lists | Your own lists of creators, and the posts you added. |
Whose data it is
The posts, creators, brands and ads are one shared catalogue, and each post is held once however many workspaces use it. When someone adds a creator, a brand or an ad, it starts out visible only to their workspace while Omne reads it, and then it becomes part of the shared catalogue for everyone.
What you do with the catalogue is private to your workspace. Your lists, the posts you added and the things you removed are yours, and no other workspace can see them. Everyone in the workspace can look at Discover and search it. Only owners and admins can add or remove things.
How to read a post
Each card shows the post, the creator, the platform and its numbers. The number that matters most is the outlier score, which says how many times better than usual the post did for that creator. A post at 10× got ten times what that creator's typical post gets. What the outlier score means explains how to read it.
Click a card to open the post in a window with its full words, its numbers and a menu of things to do with it. See Open a post and what you can do with it.
The controls above the posts
- Search posts at the top finds posts by their words. Press the filter button beside it to open every setting. How to use the filter lists them all.
- The row of quick views, from Viral now to Just added, sets several filters with one click. See Quick views.
- Cards and List change how posts are drawn. The line under the controls says how many posts match, for example how many of the total, and gives the order they are in.
Which platforms
Discover holds posts from X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Substack and others, and its coverage is being widened one platform at a time. Reading Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Substack, Mastodon and YouTube Shorts in full is still to come, and so is a monthly refresh of tracked creators, so a platform you expect can have fewer posts than another. What is open today keeps this honest.
What Discover is for
Use it to find formats and topics that work in your niche before you write. Look at breakouts for ideas, follow the creators who keep producing them in a list, and keep the posts worth studying. Your plan sets how many creators you can track, and the limits are on the pricing page.
