Glossary

A full glossary of the terms used in Omne and its docs.

This glossary explains the words you meet in Omne and in these docs. Each entry says what the word means inside Omne and links to the article that covers it in full. Omne is in a private beta, so an entry for something that is not open yet says so.

A

ACP

ACP is the Agent Client Protocol, a common way for programs to talk to coding agents. Omne's Any other agent card connects any agent that speaks it. See Connect any other agent.

Admin

Admin is a workspace role. An admin can rename the workspace, invite people and change what Discover shows, but only an owner can change roles, remove members or delete the workspace. See Roles in a workspace.

Affiliate

An affiliate is a partner who sells your products with their own code and earns a commission on each sale. You add partners under Store, Marketing, Affiliates. See How to set up affiliate partners.

Agent

An agent is a program on your own computer that you chat with inside Ask AI. It runs under your own sign-in with its maker and is billed there, never from your Omne credits. See Bring your own agent to Omne.

AI credit

An AI credit is the unit Omne's plans use for AI that runs on Omne's own AI. One credit is about one normal AI action. Omne does not count credits yet, so nothing is deducted today. See How AI credits work.

AI provider

An AI provider is a company whose models Ask AI can run on, connected under Settings, AI providers with a key or a one-click sign-in. The provider bills you directly. See How to connect your own AI account.

AI usage

AI usage is a page in Settings that reads each connected provider live and shows what that provider can report, such as spend, limit or balance. See Who pays for Ask AI and how to see your usage.

Analytics

Analytics shows how your connected accounts are doing, one platform and one date range at a time, to owners and admins. It shows numbers already read into your workspace, and reading fresh numbers from every platform is not connected yet. See Read your analytics.

API

Omne's API is planned and is not open. Its plan includes API keys in three kinds (Full, Read-only and Custom), and no address or date is published. See Omne's API.

API key

An API key is a secret code you make in another service's settings and paste into Omne to connect that service. Omne checks the key with the service, then seals it and never sends it back to your browser. See How to connect a service with an API key.

Approval

An approval is the card Ask AI shows before a tool changes something in a connected account. You choose Allow or Decline, and the chat waits for your answer. See How approvals work in Ask AI.

Archive

Archiving moves a Library item out of the main list without deleting it. It is one of the actions in an item's menu. See Pin, tag, archive and delete items.

Ask AI

Ask AI is the chat area of Omne. It answers with the model you choose, on an AI account you connect yourself, and it can read from and act in the services you have connected. See What Ask AI is and how to start a chat.

Auto-DM

Auto-DM is planned to send your link to a person's direct messages when they comment a keyword under your post. The screens exist under Store, Auto-DM, and the feature is not working yet. See Auto-DM automations.

Automation

An automation is an email rule of the form "when this happens, do that", such as adding a tag when someone joins the list. You can define automations today, but the Turn on button shows Coming soon, so none runs yet. See Set up email automations.

B

Bare domain

A bare domain setting decides where a link domain goes when nothing follows it, such as yourname.com on its own. Without one it goes to Omne's home page. See Link domain settings.

Board

A board is a named group of Library items. An item can sit on many boards at once, and putting it on a board never makes a copy. See Organise the Library with boards.

Bounce

A bounce is an email that could not be delivered. Bounced is one of the four subscriber statuses, and Omne applies it itself once email sending opens. See Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints.

Brand

A brand is a company, show or page that Discover follows, listed on the Brands tab next to Creators. See Creators and Brands in Discover.

Breakouts

Breakouts is a Discover quick view that shows posts at 10× their creator's usual or more. It is also a number on Creators and Brands. See Quick views in Discover.

Bring your own agent

Bring your own agent means using an agent you already run on your computer inside Omne. A small connector links your computer to your workspace, and the agent answers in Ask AI under your own plan or key. See Bring your own agent to Omne.

Broadcast

A broadcast is a single email sent once to your list, such as a launch or a sale. You can write and save broadcasts today, but Send and Schedule show Coming soon, so nothing goes out yet. See Write a broadcast.

Browser extension

The browser extension is Omne's tool for Chrome. It saves posts while you browse, reads a creator in a side panel and does the reading for some sync sources and for connecting Skool. See What the Omne browser extension does.

C

Capture

Capture is the row in the sidebar's New menu that makes a card at once and opens it, and the first of Home's four starts. See Docs, cards and tables.

Card

A card is a short note in the Library. Quick notes, and books and podcast episodes that come in from sync sources, are cards. Discover and the Library also draw each post as a card. See Docs, cards and tables.

Click

A click is one real person opening a short link. Omne counts it once per visitor per link per hour and keeps bots and repeat visits out of your totals. See What counts as a click.

Compare-at price

A compare-at price is the older, higher price shown struck through beside a product's real price, so a buyer sees what they save. See How to set a price.

Complaint

A complaint is when a subscriber marks an email as unwanted. Complained is a subscriber status, and Omne applies it itself once sending opens. See Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints.

Connected account

A connected account is a profile or service you have signed Omne in to, under Settings, Integrations. You can connect several accounts of the same platform. See How connecting accounts and services works.

Connector

A connector has two meanings in Omne. In an Ask AI chat, the Connectors button switches on the connected accounts whose tools the AI may use. For agents, the connector is the small program on your computer that links an agent to your workspace. See Use your connected accounts in a chat and Why an agent shows offline.

Contact

A contact is one person on your email list. Plans are meant to count contacts and sends, but counting is not switched on and email sending is not open yet. See Contacts, sends and extra sends.

Coupon

A coupon is a code a buyer types at checkout to take money off. You set the amount, the products, a use limit and an end date. See How to create a coupon code.

Course

A course is a store product made of lessons. You can create and price one today, and the course builder where lessons are written is still being built. See Product types you can sell.

Course question

A course question is something a student asks under a lesson. The screen under Store, Inbox exists and is empty, because courses cannot be sold or taken yet. See Course questions from students.

Creator

A creator is an individual person whose posts Discover follows. The Creators tab shows their followers, outlier posts and best post. See Creators and Brands in Discover.

Creator side panel

The creator side panel is the extension's panel that reads the creator whose profile is open in your tab and ranks their posts against their own typical post. See Read a creator in the side panel.

Customer

A customer is someone who bought from your store, or someone you added by hand after they paid outside it. The list shows their orders and spend. See How to see and add customers.

D

Deadline offer

A deadline offer is a discount that runs on each person's own clock, which starts when they join. You can set offers up today, but Turn on shows Coming soon, so no clock runs yet. See Create a deadline offer.

Highlight

A highlight is a passage you marked in a saved post or article, or one that came in from a sync source. Highlights have their own tile in the Library and keep a link to their source. See Read inside Omne and highlight.
