How to send a message to a community member
Messages are one-to-one conversations inside the community. Open them from the Messages tab, over any page.
Community messages are private conversations between two people. There is no channel chat for now. You open Messages from the tab beside Feed, Members and Leaderboard, and it opens over whichever page you are on.
Start a conversation
- Click Messages in the tab bar. A number beside it shows your unread messages.
- Search for a member, or choose someone from the suggestions, which list the community's team first and newer members after.
- Write your message and send it.

Searching and saving
Search finds messages by text once you type at least two characters. Messages can be saved so you can find them again.
Who can message whom
You can't message someone you have blocked or who has blocked you, and Omne says "You can't message this person." A block holds in every community. The rules for which members may message each other are still being decided, so a member may not always be able to start a conversation with another.
Edit or delete
Messages can be edited and deleted. The conversation list then shows whichever message is now the newest.
Not built yet
Group messages, photos and voice notes in chat, and a button to block someone are not in the app yet.
