Omne says it is invite-only
Why Omne shows 'Omne is invite-only for now' during the private beta, who can get in and how to be added.
The message reads: "Omne is invite-only for now. Ask the person who invited you to add this address." It appears when you try to sign in or sign up with an address that Omne has not let in. During the private beta that is expected.
Who can sign in
An address is let in when any of these is true:
- It is on the list the Omne team keeps.
- It has an open invitation to a workspace from someone already in Omne.
- Omne has been opened to everyone, which it has not been during the beta.
The check happens before any code is sent, so you see the message right away and no email follows.
How to get in
Ask the person who invited you to invite the exact address you typed. They open Settings, Members, enter your address and click Invite, then send you the link. See Invite people to a workspace. Once the invitation exists, request a code again.
If you were invited at another address
Sign in with the address that was invited, not your other one. A typo or a different alias fails the same way.
Signed in before and now refused
If your address was taken off the list, a session is not created and you see the same message. Contact support.
Sign-in with a provider
Google, LinkedIn and the other providers show the same message on the sign-in page if the address they return is not allowed.

There's a real person behind Omne, so ask anything.
