How to connect Skool and Medium with the browser extension

What you need

Omne's extension, for Chrome. It is not on the Chrome Web Store yet, so it is installed separately. It also saves posts from many platforms and reads creators in a side panel, and it is the same extension that connects these sites.

Skool

Skool has been connected for real through the extension.

1. Sign in to Skool in the same browser.
2. In Settings, open Integrations and the Skool card, then choose Connect Skool.
3. Omne gives the page a one-time ticket, and the extension sends your session details to Omne itself. The account then appears under Accounts.

Once connected, the card shows a place to post, with the account it goes out as chosen at the top.

Medium

Medium stopped issuing API tokens, and its pages answer only real browsers, so Omne's server never calls Medium and never keeps a Medium session. The extension reads the signed-in account when you connect, and writes each story inside a Medium page using Medium's own editor.

Medium is built but not proven. The latest check did not complete a connection, and the extension needs to carry the Medium code. The card is listed so you can see it, but treat Medium as not available for dependable use yet.

Why a browser session

A session lives in your browser, so the extension acts as you in the browser where you are signed in. That is also why a connection through the extension only works while the extension is installed and that browser has the session. Omne keeps the session sealed and wipes it when you disconnect.

Filter for them

Under Connects through, choose Browser extension to see them together. A note at the bottom of the list says the same.

Take it away

Open the card and use Disconnect. Signing out of the site in your browser also ends the session.
