How to run a timed sale with a banner and countdown

Start a sale

1. Give the sale a Name, such as "Black Friday".
2. Under Takes off, choose A percentage or An amount, then enter the Percentage off or Amount off.
3. Under Products, keep Every product on, or turn it off and pick Only these products.
4. Set Starts and Ends. Leave Starts empty to begin now, and leave Ends empty to run until you stop it.
5. Write a Banner, such as "30% off everything until Monday".
6. Switch on Countdown to show a countdown to the end of the sale.
7. Keep Active switched on, then click Add sale.

What the status means

The list shows each sale's Discount, the products it Applies to, when it Runs, and its status:

• Scheduled: it is active but its start time hasn't come.
• Running: it is on now.
• Paused: you switched Active off.
• Ended: its end time has passed.

Edit or stop a sale

Click a sale to change it. Changes show on the storefront at once. To pause it, switch Active off. To remove it, click Delete and confirm.

Coupon or sale

Use a coupon when you want to give a discount to the people you choose, such as an email list. Use a sale when you want the lower price to apply to everyone for a set time.

Plans and checkout

The pricing page lists coupons and promotions on paid plans. Buyers can't buy yet, because checkout hasn't opened, so a sale you create now will not change anyone's price until it does. See what you can set up in your store today.
