The Omne community: what it is and what is in it
Omne has one community inside the app for people building with Omne, with a feed, a members list, a leaderboard and one-to-one messages.
The Omne community is a place inside the app where people building with Omne compare setups, share what they made and help each other. It is one community, the same for everyone, and you open it at app.omne.so/community. Omne is in private beta, so who can sign in is limited.
What is in it
At the top of the community are four tabs:
- Feed. Posts, grouped by topic. See post in the community and react, comment and vote.
- Members. A directory of the people in the community. See find and read member profiles.
- Leaderboard. Points and levels. See points, levels and the leaderboard.
- Messages. One-to-one conversations. See send a message.
Signing in
Opening a community link while signed out sends you to sign in first, then back to the page you wanted. A post has its own address, which you can share.
The community as a product
Running your own community for your customers, and selling access to it, is a different thing and is not ready yet. See sell your own community. The pricing page lists communities on Creator, Pro, Max and Team, and plans can change before the beta opens.
Not built yet
These are planned and not in the app: notifications, a moderation screen, chat photos and voice notes, and uploading video to a post. A YouTube or Vimeo link works in a post.
