Change the title, description and picture a short link shows
Omne reads the page you link to and fills in a share card. Edit its title, line and picture, preview it as it appears on the web, X, LinkedIn and Facebook.
When someone posts your short link, social networks show a card with a picture, a title and a line. Omne fills these in from the page you link to, and you can change any of them.
Preview it
In the link window, When it's shared shows the card. Choose the web icon or X, LinkedIn or Facebook to see it as each draws it. While Omne reads the page it says "Reading the page…". If the page has no picture, the card says "No picture on that page. Drop one here."
Edit it
- Title. Click Add a title and type.
- Line under the title. Click Add a line under it.
- Picture. Click the pen on the card, then Upload a picture (JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF), or paste a picture's address. You can also drop an image on the card. Remove clears it.
Anything you type yourself stays. Omne never writes over it when it re-reads the page.
Why it matters
Networks and chat apps fetch this card to show a preview. When they fetch it, Omne serves the card and flags that visit as a bot, so it isn't counted as a click. See what counts as a click.
If the picture doesn't upload
The message "The picture couldn't be kept. Try again." means the upload failed. Try again, or paste an address instead. More fixes are in links troubleshooting.
