Share a doc, card or table
Invite people by email, or turn on a public link that lets anyone view, comment or edit. How the Share button works and what each access level means.
Press Share in the top bar of an open doc, card or table to choose who can open it. Access is either private to your workspace, or open to anyone with the link, at the level you pick.
Invite someone
In the Share window, type an email address, choose Can view or Can edit, and press Invite. If the person is already a member of your workspace, they get access to the item straight away. If they aren't a member yet, Omne creates a workspace invitation and shows its link so you can copy it. Omne doesn't email invitations today, so you send the link yourself.
The list under People with access shows the workspace's members with their roles and anyone you added by address. For the ones you added, you can change Can view or Can edit, or remove them.
General access
General access starts as Private, which means only members of the workspace. Open the menu to choose:
| Choice | Who can do what |
|---|---|
| Private | Only members of this workspace |
| Anyone with the link can view | Public read-only access |
| Anyone with the link can comment | Public read access. Signed-in visitors can comment |
| Anyone with the link can edit | Signed-in visitors can edit and comment |
Copy link gives the item's public address, which has the form of your workspace's handle followed by the item. While the item is private, the window says only members can open the link.
Comments are not open yet The comments button in the top bar and the Comments row in the More menu are marked coming soon, so a "can comment" link doesn't give anyone a place to comment today.

There's a real person behind Omne, so ask anything.
