Save a link to read later
Paste a web address into the Library and Omne keeps the page's title, picture and text so you can read it inside Omne.
To keep a web page, paste its address into the Library. Omne reads the page and stores it as a link item with its title, a picture when the page has one, and its text, so you can read it in Omne and search for words inside it.
Add a link
You can skip the dialog. With the Library page open and nothing selected for typing, pasting an address adds it directly. In the sidebar, New then Paste link does the same and opens the new item.
What you get
The item appears under Links, and in the Reading list view, with the page's title, a short piece of its text and its website. A link that points to a social post is shown as that platform's post card instead. Opening a link item shows the saved text with a line giving the author and site and an Open original link back to the page.
If it doesn't work
If the address is already saved, Omne says That link is already in the Library. and adds nothing. The Insert button stays greyed out until the address is a full web address starting with http:// or https://, so paste the whole thing from the browser's address bar.
For reading on a small screen or without distractions, see reader mode and highlights.
