People and workspaces

Delete a workspace

How an owner permanently deletes an Omne workspace, what goes with it, and how to take a copy first.

Deleting a workspace removes it for everyone in it, and it cannot be undone. Only an owner sees the option. Take a copy first with Export workspace.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Workspace.
  2. Scroll to the red Danger zone.
  3. Under Delete workspace, type the workspace's exact name in the box.
  4. Click Delete workspace. The button stays disabled until the name matches.

Omne then opens another of your workspaces, or the start page if you have none.

What goes

The description says posts, library, boards and files go with it, for everyone in it. Members lose access.

What does not

Your Omne account and your other workspaces. Anything you exported.

Before you delete

If it fails

The message "Couldn't delete the workspace." appears below the button. Try again, and contact support if it repeats.

Backups

Deleted content leaves Omne's backups as they are replaced, according to the privacy policy.
