Planner and publishing

Publish and schedule Pins on Pinterest

Connect Pinterest with only the permissions you tick, choose a default board, then publish an image, a video or a carousel to any board, secret ones too, now or at a time, and see each Pin's numbers and your account's in Omne.

Omne publishes Pins to your Pinterest boards and reads their numbers. You write the Pin in the Pinterest panel, choose a board, and press Post now or Schedule. Omne posts it through your own Pinterest connection at that time.

Connect Pinterest

1. Open Integrations and find Pinterest, then press Connect. 2. The Connect Pinterest window shows the workspace the account joins, the app it connects through (Omne's own Pinterest app), and what Omne may do, each permission in plain words: - Required, always: your profile and your boards, secret ones too. - Posting: publish Pins, make boards, and read your Pins and their numbers. - Ads: your Pinterest ad accounts, for Pinterest Ads. Untick what Omne shouldn't do, then press Continue to Pinterest. 3. Sign in to Pinterest and press Allow on Pinterest's screen. Pinterest asks only for what you ticked. 4. Choose a default board: every board, secret ones marked, with a search. Pins go there when a post names no board. Skip for now leaves it unset.

The window closes and your account shows under Accounts, named by your Pinterest username, with Default board: <name> · Change under it.

With Ads ticked, Pinterest Ads is connected in the same sign-in when Pinterest lets Omne's Pinterest app ask for it. When Pinterest doesn't, Pinterest Ads' own consent opens right after, so you end with both connected.

Permissions

Omne asks Pinterest for these permissions, and the Permissions tab lists each one in plain words:

  • user_accounts:read: reads your profile and its numbers.
  • boards:read and boards:read_secret: sees your boards, secret ones too.
  • boards:write and boards:write_secret: makes boards, secret ones too.
  • pins:read and pins:read_secret: sees your Pins and their numbers.
  • pins:write and pins:write_secret: publishes Pins, and deletes the ones you ask Omne to delete.
  • ads:read and ads:write, only with Ads ticked: your ad accounts, for Pinterest Ads.

Create a Pin

Open Pinterest in Integrations. The panel shows your account, its followers, monthly views, Pins and boards, and its last 30 days: impressions, saves, Pin clicks and outbound clicks. Under it is Create a Pin.

Publish a Pin0/6
  • One image makes an image Pin. Two to five images make a carousel.
  • One video makes a video Pin. Choose a cover image, or Pinterest takes one from the video. Pinterest processes a video after it arrives, and Omne waits for it. A video still processing after a minute is tried again a minute later with the same upload, never sent twice.
  • Made or changed with AI adds Pinterest's "AI modified" label to the Pin.

Omne checks every limit before Pinterest is asked, so a problem is said before anything is sent. The board starts on the account's default board.

The default board

A post that names no board goes to the account's default board: one from Omne AI, your agents, the API or the Planner. Omne never guesses a board. A post with no board and no default board is refused, saying so. Change the default under the account in Integrations → Pinterest, or ask Omne AI.

After you press post

Pins from Omne lists every Pin you made here, with its board, time and status:

  • Scheduled waits for its time. Posting is going out now.
  • Posted links to the Pin on Pinterest and shows its impressions, saves, Pin clicks and outbound clicks. Numbers reads the last 30 days from Pinterest at once.
  • Didn't post shows Pinterest's own words. Try again sends it again.

When Pinterest asks Omne to slow down, has a problem on its side or doesn't answer, Omne tries again by itself, up to five times, waiting longer each time. Any other refusal is shown and not tried again, so a Pin never posts twice by itself.

Delete from Pinterest deletes a posted Pin on Pinterest for good. Omne keeps it in the list, marked deleted.

Your numbers

Every hour Omne reads your followers and your newest Pins with their numbers, and once a day your account's last 90 days. They show in Analytics under Pinterest: impressions, saves, Pin clicks, outbound clicks, engagement rate and followers, with each Pin from Omne in the list of posts. Refresh in Analytics reads Pinterest again at once. Pinterest gives account numbers for business accounts, and keeps 90 days of them.

While Omne's Pinterest app is on trial access

Pinterest gives a new app trial access first. Until Pinterest gives Omne standard access, every Pin and board Omne makes is seen only by you, and Pinterest counts Omne's calls per day. Pinterest's own changes to a Pin after it went out are open to a few apps only, so editing a posted Pin waits for Pinterest too.

Omne AI, your agents, the API and webhooks

Omne AI and your agents use the same actions, named posts_* for every platform Omne posts to and pinterest_* for boards, sections, your account's numbers and your Pins. Posting, changing and deleting wait for your yes.

Omne's API is not open yet. Where it is switched on, each one has its own address, with a key from Settings → MCP & API:

| What | Address | |---|---| | The accounts Omne posts to | GET /v1/posts/accounts | | Your posts | GET /v1/posts/list | | One post | GET /v1/posts/get | | Make, schedule or post now | POST /v1/posts/create | | Change one before it goes out | POST /v1/posts/update | | Delete one before it goes out | POST /v1/posts/delete | | Try a failed one again | POST /v1/posts/retry | | Delete one from Pinterest | POST /v1/posts/unpublish | | Edit one that went out | POST /v1/posts/edit | | A post's numbers | GET /v1/posts/analytics | | Boards | GET /v1/posts/pinterest/boards | | A board's sections | GET /v1/posts/pinterest/board-sections | | Make a board | POST /v1/posts/pinterest/create-board | | Your account's numbers | GET /v1/posts/pinterest/account | | Your Pins | GET /v1/posts/pinterest/pins | | The default board | GET /v1/posts/pinterest/default-board | | Set or clear the default board | POST /v1/posts/pinterest/set-default-board |

Reading works with any key. Posting and changes need a key made to write.

Webhooks set up in Settings → MCP & API → Webhooks tell your own address, signed, when a Pin goes out (post.platform.published, and post.published once every account of the post has it), fails for good (post.platform.failed, post.failed, or post.partial when only some failed), or is deleted (post.platform.deleted, from Omne or found gone on Pinterest). Pins made on Pinterest itself are told as post.external.created, post.external.updated and post.external.deleted by the hourly read.
